For something altogether unique, try this little independent business that merges creative design ideas with creative dining. ThewitchEZ became the first Photo Design Café Restaurant in the UK, as well as the team’s office and ‘living room’ at the same time. The ‘living room’ is a truly magical place where the world of design, photography and home-made food simply compliment each other. The menu consists of the team’s favourite dishes. Many of them come from classic home cooking and many others have been discovered on travels. The dishes are freshly cooked and the setting is unique, all of which makes for a truly memorable dining experience.
Make a reservation at the new Overwood grill room for a romantic Valentine’s meal with your significant other. Open Friday and Saturday from 5pm til late, as well as Sunday lunch from 12.30pm, the menu boasts the finest salt aged beef and local line-caught fish all grilled over wood. At Overwood, the finest cuts and the freshest seafood meet the searing heat of charcoal and wood fire to create a very unique aroma and taste. From deep fried squid rings to home made meatballs, there’s plenty to choose from. The menu’s divided into veggies, carnes (meat) and pescados (fish) making it easier for you to decided what to order for the table. There are plenty of great drinks to compliment the food as well, including a jug of sangria to really make you feel as though you’re in Spain this February.
Our Place is a stylish restaurant situated on the High Street of Annan. This place serves freshly cooked food, cocktails, wines, beers and spirits, many of which are local. The only aim for these guys is to make your dining experience a special one, so we cannot recommend it enough for Valentine’s Day. The kitchen caters for all dietary needs so just let the team know in advance what you need and they’ll take care of the rest. From traditional dishes like Sunday roasts, fish and chips and delicious steak and ale stew, to smaller portion menus and tapas, the menus cater for everyone. Don’t forget to taste some of the amazing cocktails, all properly hand-made by the talented mixologists!
Sage Kitchen

Sage Kitchen is a modern British independent restaurant located in the centre of Menai Bridge. Most of the ingredients used are sourced from Wales, and all are cooked to perfection. We especially love the Welsh centre-cut fillet steak with triple cooked chips, green vegetables and pink peppercorn sauce. Make sure to save room for dessert because they are gloriously good! Order the double chocolate cheesecake with cookie crumble – even if you need two spoons to share – and thank us later.
