Stein Inn, nestled on the shores of Lochbay, overlooks the Outer Hebrides and has been staring out to sea from the coast of the Waternish peninsula since the 18th century. This is a pub with a past as testified by the wooden sign above the threshold, where the year 1790 is carved in making it the oldest inn in Skye. The menu focuses on local, sustainable produce, and though humble and simple everything is homemade which is exactly what we all crave during the cold winter months. Especially with log-burners and candlelight adding to the decor here.
