Pre- and post-festival venues across the UK
Festival season is finally here after a long, long wait and here at Dish Cult HQ we are here for it all! We’re so excited to keep the party going throughout summer that we’ve rounded up some of our favourite places around the UK that are just PERFECT venues for festival vibes.
You and your gang can sing all your favourite festival tunes at House of Fu’s Hello Karaoke. This first floor karaoke bar in Leeds is home to five private booths with state-of-the-art karaoke equipment and sound system. Gather your troops and book ahead, booths are available to hire in one hour slots and pre-bookings are advised.
Festivals are amazing spaces for like-minded people to gather and have some fun, and at Vivo Amigo in Cardiff “East Meets West”. This place is a unique amalgamation of two distinct cultures, where bold complementary flavours are seamlessly combined with quality ingredients and classic cooking techniques. Chef and restaurateur Vikram has thoughtfully cultivated a menu bursting with an international flair that incorporates both Indian and Mexican cuisines to create a totally unique and rule-breaking taste sensation.
Established in 1905, Dormans Bar has established itself as one of the finest traditional pubs in Ireland. Situated in the heart of Mid-Ulster the award-winning venue has been in the Dorman family for over 100 years. Dormans always offers good craic and in 2014 the premises underwent a major £1.5 million transformation, which included the introduction of Secrets Nightclub and has since gone onto to be named ‘Nightclub of the Year’ in consecutive years. Ideal for keeping the post-festival party going.
If there’s one thing we love most about festivals it’s the food – OBVIOUSLY! One of our favourite street food style smokehouses is Street in Coventry. It’s fast paced and lively, which will keep the festival spirit alive, and it offers some of the best in BBQ and burgers, alongside an excellent variety of cocktails, craft beers and wines.
Lining your stomach before the party starts is always recommended and we highly recommend The Boarding House – “The Home of Honest Food”. Open since 1770, today the modern kitchen serves up tasty, seasonal dishes all day long inside and outside on the terrace. For lunch, there are plenty of options. From sandwiches and wraps, to salads and burgers – as well as a generous choice of mains – you’ll leave well fed and ready to carry on the good vibes.
