This laid back country-style pub and restaurant caters for all the family, including four legged friends. The pub is nestled in the village of Burham, amidst glorious Kent countryside. Situated only five miles from both Maidstone and Rochester, expect to find garden patio areas at both the front and rear of the pub, so you can soak up the sun through the day and into the evening.
The Duke of Delhi has been serving the local community in Saxlingham and Nethergate, and much of the wider surrounding areas in Norwich, for many years. Although they serve many traditional dishes on their menu, they also have exclusive dishes including house specialties, various duck dishes, sea bass, salmon and other seafood dishes inspired their heritage, as well as extensive vegetarian dishes.
The name of the restaurant is derived from Kibele (Cybele) – the ancient Phrygian Mother of the Gods, a primal nature goddess worshipped with orgiastic rites in the mountains of central and western Anatolia. Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, Kibele has a menu that revolves around classic Turkish cuisine with a more modern twist and a focus on quality, seasonal ingredients, drawing inspiration from Turkey’s diverse regions.
In May 2015 Katie and Rick Toogood decided to move to Cornwall to set up their second restaurant, Prawn On the Lawn (POTL) Padstow, leaving POTL London in the capable hands of their dedicated team. The Padstow restaurant follows a similar format to their Islington site being a fully licensed restaurant and fishmongers, offering super fresh and tasty seafood small plates and whole fish to share. The menu changes daily, sometimes hourly, and aims to be as sustainable as possible, working with local suppliers in Padstow and the surrounding areas. Open 8th April 2022 – October 2nd 2022, but available to book now.
