It is designed very beautifully, with a good mix between modern and traditional decor. These guys are best known for wonderful breakfasts, fresh dinners and great cocktails – there is plenty of choice at Trof. From simple but delicious dishes, such as cheeseburgers and open pies, to luxury dishes like lamb merguez shakshuka and confit duck hash. Let’s put it this way, if someone came to the UK and ate at Trof, they would have a very good impression of British cuisine! Despite the nearing of the cold winter, Trof will make you comfy and enjoy warm, comforting food in the colourful season that is autumn.

Situated near the People’s Powerhouse Musueum, this independent and authentic Indian restaurant provides unbelievable food for lunch and dinner. The name essentially means ‘wow’, used when someone is very happy with their food. Head Chef and co-owner, Manish Mahipal has worked all over the world, learning and perfecting his skills. Now his ideas and food are in Manchester, this is a must-try place. Appetisers include panner tikka anardana, chilli garlic calamari and koliwada crab among others. The number of amazing dishes here is amazing, so we can’t mention them all, but the specials, which we love, are the pot-roasted duck and the expensive but worth it lobster pepper fry. The main dishes include classics like chicken jalfrezi, Goan fish curry and the murg tikka masala. There’s also a range of Indian street food options, such as vada pav and pav bhaji.
