Finding yourself buzzing for the big game midweek or are you having a wild sporting weekend? With this in mind it only seemed fitting for us at Dish Cult to create a list of the best spots in Bristol town to catch a game. Whether it’s a family tradition, boys weekend or a super fun date, we have covered as many epic sports bar options that we could think of!
A brilliant Bristol venue for good drinks, relaxed atmosphere, live music and sports. With lunch deals and FIFA tournaments, you can both watch the game and join in! Showing everything from cricket to Formula 1 and UEFA Women’s Euro matches, The Birkett Tap is the place to be for upcoming games. The menu here is also fab offering everything from bottomless brunch to kiddie options.
AllStars Sports Bar is a buzzing venue right in the centre of the city’s night scene. Found above the big Weatherspoons in town, there is always a good vibe around AllStars at night! With the capacity to play up to nine games all in HD at any one time, sport is exactly what you get here. It also serves up deep pan pizza if you’re feeling peckish and has pool tables among other sports games if you fancy joining in on the action yourself.
Situated in the heart of Old Town in Bristol, The Old Fish Market is a stunning venue with ample space that prides itself on its offerings of cracking ales, live jazz nights and sports events with the likes of “Return of the Premier League” night. Hearty food options include banging Sunday roasts and a sandwich menu where diners can build their own tasty sandwich, including battered haddock fingers and pork sausage and caramelised onion – we love it here.
An Aussie bar showing sports games in HD as well as hosting some decent party nights. You could visit Walkabout for anything, from a chilled pint, burger and F1 to making it a full on stop on your night out. The food is super tasty and super filling, with dishes including mac ‘n’ cheese chips and curries, accommodating every member of the group.
The philosophy of the Inn on the Green is simple: “Eat, drink, relax”. Perhaps one of the friendliest places in Bristol, this cosy pub makes sure no one gets left behind, as it’s family and dog friendly. On a chilly day, you can sit inside surrounded by a warm atmosphere and country-style décor. When it’s warmer, be sure to explore the beer garden filled with flowers. The pub is a perfect choice for a relaxing day or night out – and if you’re hoping to watch live sports, it’s got you covered too.
Thanks to Sky Sports and TNT Sports, you can catch some of the big events on the screen and celebrate victories with other sports fans. You can expect some of the rugby and football matches to be shown, just check out their website for updates. If you get hungry, there’s plenty of comfort food on the menu such as beef burgers, halloumi fries, nachos, and fried chicken wings, all perfect for sharing during the game. Stop by, relax and become a part of the community at Inn on the Green.
The Bank Tavern is a cracking independent spot in Bristol, with a passion for beer – especially beer from the South West – Sunday roasts and entertainment. With award-winning food to boot, The Bank Tavern hosts live music as well as sports nights. You could also visit for a cracking pub quiz or cider festival!
