Run by husband, wife and best friend team bringing classic French dishes to Bristol, this is a lovely relaxed bistro serving everything from brilliant Croque Monsieurs, Steak Frites to the amazing Melted Raclette Cheese. The Zizzi found in the heart of Clifton Village is a gorgeous venue serving classic pizza, pasta and cheese! The ideal place for date night, friends, family and special occasions, it really is a crowd pleaser, especially with their three course set menu. We simply had to mention them here however for their delicious starter of Fonduta Formaggi, a pot of melted cheese served with a side of their “little soul bread”. You are guaranteed to leave feeling full and satisfied.

With an ever changing, seasonal menu, we love this cosy, family run French eatery. Whilst using seasonal ingredients means you can’t always get your hands on their amazing cheese, we can highly recommend their incredible Cheese Soufflé. Accompanied with delicious bread, this dish is the perfect heart warmer on an autumn evening. A great venue for a romantic, intimate date night for food and wine loving people. The menu here really is stunning, featuring the likes of Devon Dressed Crab on toast with pickled cucumber, Veal Tartare with Perigord Truffle, and Caramelised Chicory, walnut and blue cheese tart. Dreamy.

The Malago is known for its consistently good food and brilliant service. With a lovely atmosphere and hearty plates we love it here. This is a family owned independent Bristol eatery serving a menu that includes the likes of Chargrilled Octopus and Oysters with Jalapeño vinaigrette, a seafood lover’s dream! We also highly recommend their Monday cheese fondue nights!
