The “BrickHouse Social” on New Wakefield Street is one of the latest additions to Oxford Road’s bustling neighbourhood. What was once named the “worst street in Manchester” is now home to a social scene second to none. Be it starting your day at the “brew bar” on our roof-top terrace, or a cheeky game of pool over lunch before wrapping up for the day with a cocktail and kicking back with live acoustic. Slide into Saturday with bottomless brunch in the sunshine before bringing in the Sunday chills after a night in the underground club and event space!

The Washhouse doesn’t cater for your laundry needs, it caters for your cocktail needs instead. The friendly staff won’t take care of your washing and its probably best not to let them loose near a washing machine. But, what they are specialists in is making you feel welcome and knocking up some amazing cocktails which are quite easy on the eye too. Book yourself in and give this place a spin!

The Asian fusion kitchen is now open at Joshua Brooks, and as well serving delicious food there’s also plenty of delicious cocktails served too. Tuesday to Saturday from midday to 9pm, FUKU offers a diverse and tasty pan-Asian menu with all your favourites. You can complement your meal with a cocktail, wine or beer from an extensive drink menus while soaking up the industrial, yet cosy ambience this place has become known for.

The Bay Horse Tavern

An Northern Quarter institution – dating from the Georgian era when the original venue was built – The Bay Horse Tavern offers a selection of pies and locally-sourced rotisserie meats, including sirloin of beef, roast chicken and gammon, served with beef dripping chips or mash with fresh bread baked daily in-house. Behind the bar is a range of cask and keg beers from Greater Manchester breweries along with a comprehensive spirits selection including more than 30 gins! The talented bar team has also created a seasonal cocktail menu and a selection of long drinks and spritzes for you to enjoy – with classics being available on request.

Housed at the end of Victorian terrace in leafy West Didsbury, this building was originally a greengrocers owned by an Armenian immigrant who called himself George Charles. These days, The George Charles honours that heritage by using the freshest ingredients in its dishes, and cooking everything from scratch. There’s everything from a hearty breakfast and brunch dishes, to gastropub classics and small plates. These days the pub also shares its kitchens with sushi and pan-Asian whizz kids, Unagi. There’s a very impressive cocktail menu with must-try signatures including the Unagi Negroni.
