Whether you’ve been enjoying yourself too much and lost track of time or had a late lunch and didn’t fancy eating until late, we’ve all been there. In these situations, sometimes a greasy kebab just isn’t what you’re looking for and restaurants that close at 8 aren’t going to be any help. Thankfully Bristol has an array of great restaurants that keep their doors open until 11pm or later. Here are some of our favourites.
Bravas is a tiny restaurant on Cotham hill, with only 16 seats. The food is inspired by the unpretentious and inexpensive tapas bars in Spain. At Bravas you will find the comfortable and friendly atmosphere of a local pub but the quality of food you would find in a great restaurant. The menu changes daily, taking advantage of seasonal produce, only using ingredients at their best.
You will see dishes like salt grilled wild red prawns with garlic and chilli butter and Beetroot with ajo blanco, hazelnuts and plums. Just like the traditional restaurants of Spain, Bravas is open until 12am at the weekends, making it one of Bristol’s best options for a late night dinner.
