Family dinners in Bristol
Looking for somewhere new to take the family? Voila! Here you can find a list of vibrant, diverse eateries specifically with families in mind, created by us at Dish Cult especially for you. Enjoy!
Award-winning pies for everyone! From beef to jackfruit, even the fussiest member of the family can be happy here. With colouring for the kids and friendly staff, this is an ideal family-friendly spot where everyone can leave feeling full and happy. You can even buy your own pie kit to take away and make at home – a great family activity in itself.
Child- and dog-friendly with burgers, seafood and loaded fries, there is something for everyone. With live music too, you can keep the whole family entertained right by the harbour. With sustainability and focus on using local, ethical suppliers, we love it here. No.1 Harbourside is sister to another of our favourites – The Canteen, so if you like that Stokes Croft venue, be sure to pop in to this chilled out, friendly eatery next to the water.
DEFINITELY a treat spot, and not for the faint hearted parent with the amount of sugar one can expect to consume here, but Beehive Coffee House is famous in Bristol for ridiculously extravagant freakshakes! We are talking about easter egg, doughnut topped, chocolate dipped, peanut butter deliciousness. Honestly, these shakes are absolutely ridiculous and insanely popular. We 100 per cent guarantee the kids will not be disappointed.
A buzzing venue to keep the kids engaged and trying new foods with Cosmo’s “World Kitchen”. With chefs grilling fresh seafood and steak in view, we hope the children will learn something exciting about food preparation and flavours, too. With an all you can eat buffet for unlimited lunch or dinner at one set price, as well as a chocolate fountain, this is great for big families. Expect plenty of choice with 150 dishes available! This is an especially good idea for those entertaining a group of picky children and also wanting something more exotic for yourself.
A true independent success story for Bristol having opened over 25 years ago, Mud Dock is a great venue with a lot of space for kids to run around in. It also has a good, hearty menu featuring anything from pancakes to cocktails. You can try and keep the family entertained with the bike shop, too, which the cafe doubles up as.
The Gloucester Old Spot’s an award-winning, independent, child- and dog-friendly pub that comes with a beer garden! Established in 2014, The Gloucester Old Spot boasts locally sourced produce and with a team of friendly staff. With an outdoor, fairy-lit terrace and kids menu, this is a great family venue.
