Stand up and Brunch! has been described as ‘the ultimate brunch party’ by Bierkeller who are hosting the event on Saturday, 28th August / 12pm – 4.30pm. It’ll include 60 minutes of bottomless rum, as well as performances from a range of club DJs. As if that wasn’t enough, there’s also going to be two hours of live comedy, which will include Ahir Shah and MC Jonathan Mayor. A special guest is still to be announced, but organisers have promised the mystery performer is ‘one of the most famous comedians in the UK’…

Mamasan’s three-floor venue will be hosting an exclusive lunch time deal in partnership with champagne brand Laurent-Perrier, where two courses and half a bottle of champagne is just £45 this Bank Holiday weekend. Plus, they’ll also be hosting an all-day, all-night disco on its roof terrace too! The event will see DJs such as Derek Kaye, Platinum, and Black Light Disco all perform throughout the day. So if you’re not too full after lunch, make sure you’ve got your dancing shoes with you. Available Saturday 28th, 12pm – 3am.

Maray Allerton’s main menu has a dedicated vegetarian-friendly section that includes eye-catching dishes such as Disco Cauliflower – chermoula, harissa, tahini, yoghurt, pomegranate, almonds, fresh herbs – and Aubergine Shawarma – tahini, crispy onions, date balsamic, Turkish chillies. There are mezze options too if you like to share and have a bit of everything. The Falafel Sharer and Marinated Mezze are definitely worth considering, while the Cauliflower Bhajis are a must. There’s an entire vegan menu too, which includes all of the above and more! Save some room for the Pistachio, Dark Chocolate and Tamarind Tart with vegan ice cream.

Beer

Can’t wait for Oktoberfest next month? Then get a head start this Sunday at Camp and Furnace’s ‘Great Bavarian Bank Holiday’. The venue’s going to be transformed into a German-themed party, with a massive beer hall and a live ‘oompah’ band. As well as plenty of beer served in huge stein glasses, there will also be German-inspired food to line your stomach with, such as Bratwurst and Pretzels. Guests are encouraged to wear fancy dress for the day. The fun kicks off at 1pm Sunday.
