Need an early sugar fix to start your day right? Mannings Bakery opens at 8:30am every day apart from Sundays and allows you to treat yourself to plenty of delicious baked goods that will give you enough fuel to get you going. On the menu, you can find everything from the classics such as apple tarts and cupcakes of all flavours to traditional confectionary such as Gur cakes. The interior is modern and simple enough to keep you fully focused on the amazing birthday cake display (if you ever need the perfect celebratory cake, the bakery will definitely rise to the task). Relax on a sofa with a coffee in hand before you head to work or have the food on the go when you’re in hurry.

There’s nothing wrong with indulging once in a while and what better way to do that than to treat yourself to a doughnut? The store first debuted as a doughnut concession back in the 70s and gained popularity at concerts and festivals. Today, it’s one of the most loved Dublin spots. One of the highlights is that you can order a doughnut with a personalised message. As for the flavours, you can expect bestsellers such as The Lotus Bischoff, Rafaello, Apple Crumble, Bailey’s and many more unique combinations. Whatever you’re feeling in the mood for, you’ll find it on the store’s menu. We can’t think of a better way to indulge ourselves.

Camerino was shortlisted for the Irish Times Best Shops in Ireland and included in the Independent’s list of 30 things to do in Dublin before you die so it just had to make it in this guide. The bakery was also recognised for its chocolate raspberry cheesecake brownies that are just to die for – but don’t just take our word for it and try them yourself. If brownies aren’t your thing, you can always go for swirls, cookies, puddings or celebratory cakes and plenty more to choose from. There’s also a selection of sandwiches to have for lunch. Don’t forget to add it to your bucket list today!

Named after the iconic exterior, Green Door has a lot more than just a green door that sets it apart from the crowd. As soon as you step inside this bakery, you’ll notice the delicious smells of freshly baked goods; all types of bread, pastries and cakes that will cater to any taste and make it difficult not to give into your cravings. Our favourite is the sponge cake filled with cream and topped with fruits, a great choice for a weekend treat. The bakery is also family-run, so you can expect a great homely atmosphere and friendly service that will make you feel welcome.
