The Olde Post Inn
cuisinesIrish
The Olde Post inn was built in the 1800s. It originally opened as a post office in 1884, and has been a grocery and residence in its lifetime. It was, for some time, derelict before it was renovated into a restaurant with accommodation in the early 1990s. It’s been run as a restaurant since and was taken over by Gearoid & Tara Lynch in November 2002. At The Olde Post Inn, the team design the menu seasonally so expect lots of lovely spring ingredients over the May Bank Holiday. They use the best of Irish ingredients, cooked simply and highlighting their flavour. The team also connects directly with the producers where possible, which ensures that they are getting the best of seasonal produce, in turn helping the sustainability of the local producer. For a springtime menu with fantastic seasonal plates, book yourself into The Olde Post Inn this May Bank Holiday.
