Welcome To The Gold Coast - a hive of activities from morning tonight…

W know the choice can be overwhelming so here’s a micro guide that will ensure you get your trip to Palm Beach just right…

Balboa Italian
This is a Dish Cult member restaurant
The team at Balboa have brought the Gold Coast and Italy together to create a classy, sophisticated dining experience with the atmosphere and feeling of community that captures the essence of Italy.
Co-owner and Executive Chef Ehud Uzan and his talented crew of chefs use locally sourced ingredients mixed with classic Italian techniques to create an extensive menu featuring handmade pasta and Roman style thin crust pizza from their Napoli-sourced wood fired pizza oven.

Stand out dishes include the summery Balboa Caprese salad of heirloom tomato, buffalo mozzarella and sweet corn vinaigrette along with the signature crispy skin duck breast. Balboa Italian has established itself as a Palm Beach landmark, the imposing standalone two-storey restaurant is all aged red brick, sleek black metal, warm rustic wood, overhanging greenery, and luxe vintage décor pieces.

The second storey dining area houses Balboa’s exclusive private VIP room which seats up to 12 guests, includes VIP service and is perfect for intimate group dinners or whatever you are celebrating in style. Get dolled up for date night, get the girls (or guys) together, and get ready for one of the best Italian dining experiences the Gold Coast has to offer.

Burgster
cuisinesBurgers, Bar Snacks, Fried Chicken, Oysters, Craft Beers

Dishing out loads of hipster Brooklyn street style, drool-worthy burgers, and bar snacks so good you won’t know which to order, Burgster is the go-to for casual eats and nights out in Palm Beach.
Along with the usual burger suspects, there are some deliciously left field options like the Bro Boy burger with southern fried Australian prawns.

You won’t need to wing it with nights like wing Wednesday’s where you can score $1 wings all night and Oyster Fridays for $1 natural or $2 tempura oysters washed down with craft beer or house-made cola. Burgsters down to earth homestyle hospitality will make you want to join the cool kids and become one of the many regulars gracing the coveted booths.

Dish Cult Recommends: The $23 Moreton bay bug burger with a side of $12 Truffle chips
The Scottish Prince
cuisinesBritish Pub Food, Whisky Bar

It could be whiskey business teaming up British pub food with a Gold Coast twist but the team at The Scottish Prince have nailed it. Come for the scotch eggs and signature Balmoral Chicken and stay for the extensive whisky collection served neat or stirred, not shaken, into your cocktail of choice.
Dimly lit with an old-world nautical vibe, a nod to its namesake ship, The Scottish Prince, which ran aground with a cargo of whisky off the Gold Coast in 1887.

Feel warmly welcomed by intimate timber booths, tartan adorned seating and an impressive copper-topped bar housing up to 200 whiskeys from all around the world. Comedy night is every Tuesday, hosted by Based Comedy from 7:30pm. Comedy show includes a headline act, a host and up and coming support acts, bookings recommended. Private whisky masterclasses for novices and whiskey aficionados can be hosted in the whisky room for groups of 6 or more.
Get your shipmates together and head to The Scottish Prince for a fun, unique spin on the typical Gold Coast night out. They even offer vouchers for self-guided whisky voyages and introduction to whisky masterclasses.
