If you miss cocktails as much as we do, rejoice, Wynyard Pavilion has come up with a solution; takeaway cocktails.
We are beyond excited and have worked a visit into our plans for the weekend. Pop by and collect your expertly crafted cocktail, the professionals have taken back control so you can leave your lockdown bartending skills in the past. If you feel like spicing up your weekend picnics, this is a great way to make a splash!
Treat your friends to a cheeky treat. Each cocktail will be shaken, strained and poured to order, ready for your arrival. To get your hands on one of these beauties, order online, give The Pav a call or visit them on the Quarter. Each cocktail costs $16, and it is worth every penny.
Enjoy a leisurely walk across the waterfront and bask in the sea breeze as you make your way towards the most delicious takeaway cup you will ever experience. If you have had the pleasure of visiting Wynyard Pavilion in the past, you will be well aware that the cocktails are always incredible; the flavour profiles are perfectly balanced, and each sip tastes like heaven on earth. You will not want to miss out. With a range of flavours and concoctions available, there is a cocktail to suit every need, preference and craving.
A few popular cocktails available are; the Pavilion Bloody Mary, the Continental Breakfast, Mango Daiquiri and La Costa.
The Pavilion Bloody Mary reminds us of dusty Sundays, made with bacon-infused vodka, tomato juice, cucumber, BBQ sauce, Kaitaia Fire, lemon and celery bitters – this cocktail is sure to dust off any cobwebs. It is not often we come into contact with something as unique and surprisingly tasty as bacon-infused vodka. It exceeded our expectations in the best way. Mimosa’s can move over because we have found our new favourite breakfast cocktail.
When the sun’s shining, all we want is to get our hands on an ice-cold Mango Daiquiri with Bacardi rum, house-made mango reduction and a dash of freshly squeezed lime. This cocktail is the ultimate summer vibe; the tropical flavour is the perfect combination of sweet and sour.
If you are after something a little different, try the Continental Breakfast; created with Four Pillars gin, marmalade, lemon and a splash of Prosecco. Or choose la costa, this provides a refreshing taste of summer, with Tanqueray gin, St Germain elderflower liquor, lemon and Frivoli.
For the wine sommeliers and beer enthusiasts out there, you haven’t been forgotten, Wynyard Pavilion has something for everyone. Buy one bottle of beer for $5 or a six-pack for $20; a few familiar drafts available are Corona, Little Creatures, Mac’s seltzer, Steinlager Pure light and Zeffer apple crumble cider. When it comes to wine, your options include bubbles, rosé, red and white. To peruse what they have on offer, head over to their website or visit them on the Quarter.
For a bite to eat, we suggest the prawn and chorizo pizza, a succulent fried chicken burger or a big bowl of loaded fries; with crispy bacon, fried onions and a beer cheese sauce.
Wynyard Pavilion is open Friday to Sunday 11am – 6pm to satisfy all your breakfast, coffee or cocktail needs.
