Nobody does better vegetarian food than Indians. Their authentic recipes include countless delicious meat-free dishes, and you can find them all in Sanskruti. This Indian gem offers a menu that traverses the Indian subcontinent, and is as diverse and colourful as the culture itself. From their street food menu to their South Indian, Punjabi mains, daal, rice, and naan menu, you’ll be able to try the freshest vegetarian dishes in town. And if you’re struggling to choose, the waiters will be more than happy to give you advice based on your taste and preferences.
Did you know Italians had their own version of tapas? It’s called cicchetti. It’s delicious, and you can find it at Bacaro. Inspired by the backstreet Bacaros of Venice, this authentic Italian venue won awards, received amazing reviews, and is said to be one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Liverpool. These guys are passionate about Venetian small plates, pizzetts, pastas, and risottos. They’ve got a whole selection of vegetarian dishes and the value for money is amazing. Reserve ahead!
Located at the top of Liverpool’s bustling Bold Street is Maray, a little gem offering sophisticated and yummy small plates (we do love small plates). They’ve brought back a piece of Paris’ 4th arrondissement to Liverpool, in a humble and intimate restaurant. Their food is inspired by the flavours of the Middle East, and their vegetarian options are a true delice. From falafel and crispy courgettes, to mushroom boureka and fattoush salad, you’re in for a new experience in one of the best vegetarian restaurants in Liverpool.
If you’re a pie fan, this one’s going to make you very ha-pie. Founders, Jon & Tris, travelled around Australia for six months, eating pies every day, with one goal in mind: return to the UK and make great British pies. Pieminister Liverpool is now one of nine restaurants, and definitely not to be missed. From vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, they’ve got pies for every taste. And so much more! Make sure you save room for dessert as their range of soft serve sundaes come in a whole heap of different flavours. They’re a true “pies” of heaven.
Silk Road is surely one of our favourite vegetarian restaurants in Liverpool. Situated right next to the city’s Business District, this exciting venue offers a delicious fusion of exciting cuisine influenced by the historic Silk Road from Asia to Europe. Mostly serving small plates, they’ve created vegetarian dishes that will look quite different to anything you’ve had before. We’re absolutely in love with their drinks menu. You’re not leaving this place without ordering one of their precious gin & tonic first!
This multi award-winning Catalan deli and restaurant is an absolute treasure for vegetarians. At Lunya, don’t expect traditional Spanish tapas. They’ve got very sophisticated and surprising home made tapas that will take you directly to Barcelona’s hot playas. Their vegetarian options are full of flavours and feature exciting Catalan ingredients you can’t find anywhere else in Liverpool. Try their wine and cheese experience, or go to their gin tasting event. They’ve got exciting stuff planned for the following months!
