Plans Announced This Week
NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet says every NSW resident will receive two more Dine and Discover Vouchers as a follow up to last year’s successful COVID support initiative.
Now that Freedom Day has arrived and Christmas is fast approaching at the height of Australia’s peak Summer season, New South Wales residents will be doubling down on Dine and Discover Vouchers. The purpose is to help boost the economy following the latest round of COVID lockdowns, and all you have to do to play your part is spend them at a participating Dine and Discover venue.
One “Dine” voucher is for hospitality and the other “Discover” voucher is for recreation.
If you’ve already registered the two new $25 Dine and Discover Vouchers will automatically be available in your Service NSW app from December 1. If you haven’t already registered scroll down to apply for all six $25 vouchers – a $150 love fest!!
It’s worth noting that Dine and Discover Vouchers cannot be spent on retail, alcohol, gambling, tobacco or accommodation – and you cannot use more than one voucher per transaction.
About 4.8 million people took up the voucher offer last time, Mr Perrottet said.
“I want people to go out, like many people have, and support local businesses and enjoy the best food that we have in New South Wales,” he said.
Outdoor dining will also be a permanent fixture with $5000 grants for 5000 businesses *on a first come first served basis* specifically to implement alfresco seating, as the government moves to breathe new life back into Sydney CBD.
