Prefer to take a promenade stroll as you munch on your crepe? The hand-held crepes at Love Crepe in Drummoyne make enjoying your dessert on the go easy.

Simply choose your favourite toppings and the perfect sweet treat is just minutes away. Customise your crepes with nutella, bananas, strawberries, biscuit crumbs and more. You can also go the non-traditional route and opt for extras like peanut butter, custard or crushed oreos.

cuisinesDesserts, Ice cream, Crepes, American

Bay Vista is a funky meetup spot for dessert-lovers, oozing with L.A. vibes, Instagrammable dessert plates and a rainbow of exciting ice cream flavours.

The treats here are all about decadence, so it would almost be a waste to go to Bay Vista without opting for something wickedly over the top. Luckily, you’re spoilt for choice.

Try the blueberry cream cheese crepe with forest berry sauce and maple syrup, or the “Cherry Hype” with cherries, marshmallows, coconut and lashings of fountain chocolate.

The Snickers crepe is a must-try for fans of the famous confectionary bar.

Gavroche Chippendale
cuisinesFrench, Dessert, Crepes

There’s only one crepe to be found on the menu at Gavroche, but it’s rumoured to be one of the tastiest in Sydney.

Gavroche in Chippendale is all about classic French cuisine, and elegant style to match. Within the restaurant you’ll discover intricately hand-painted tile walls, a 4m-long antique French silk weaver’s table and a 1950 Parisian motorized bicycle.

After a dinner (or long weekend lunch) at this Parisian bistro-style restaurant, zip down to the dessert menu and you’ll spot the crepe dish everyone’s talking about.

It’s the old retro classic Crepe Suzette, with flambéed Grand Marnier. Watch a waiter flambé it at your table and taste the perfection that follows.

Creperie Suzette
cuisinesDesserts, French, Crepes

Self-described as “a taste of France in the heart of the Rocks,” Creperie Suzette is yet another popular harbourside cafe (Four Frogs is a few doors down) for when that all-consuming crepe craving strikes.

With a breakfast menu of tasty savoury galettes made from naturally gluten-free buckwheat flour, it pays to have lunch here followed by a sweet and delicious crepe dessert.

The sweet crepes can optionally be made with gluten-free buckwheat flour if you please, and the list of flavours is short and traditional. Pick from lemon and sugar, Nutella, Suzette, or two other slightly more extravagant options.

One of them is La Fraise, a crepe showered in strawberries, dark chocolate, walnut and ice cream. The other (Pomme Cannelle), comes simply with poached apple and cinnamon. Heavenly.
