From fiery falafel to crispy kebabs, Dish Cult is here to give you an insight into some of Dublin’s best Turkish diners! Whether you’re having a night out with friends or want to impress on a date, we’ve got you covered.
Kicking off this list is Pasha Restaurant, one of the longest standing and well renowned family kebab shops in Dublin City. Their location just off Dublin’s iconic O’Connell Street makes it an easy place to find, but don’t be fooled by the location, Pasha is very much a locals restaurant that’s family friendly. All ingredients for Pasha are locally sourced, bringing you daily freshness with some high-quality Turkish cooking techniques. Dubliners will always tell you that Pasha do the best kebabs, and with a range that consists of the original Donner kebab, lamb kebab, chicken kebab, or mixed kebabs, it’s not wonder Pasha is among the best in the city! With a mixed kebab, chips, and a drink for €10, Pasha won’t just keep your stomach happy, it’ll keep your wallet happy too! The vegan options from Pasha are plentiful too, with falafel and vegetarian burgers all included in the meal deals.
From a long-standing kebab shop to one of Dublin’s latest and greatest Turkish grills, Reyna is run by an uncle and nephew on Dame Street in Dublin. The location and late opening hours make Reyna an ideal pit stop for some top-quality food after a night on the tiles in Dublin City. Their chicken and lamb kebabs are made using 100 per cent Irish meat, so you know Reyna is as fresh as they come! Their seasonal veg and falafel Dürüm’s are a veggie’s dream at only €7.50! Reyna also do a range of Turkish grilled goods. Why not try their Adana? An authentic Turkish kebab, hand minced from lamb and beef, which is then charcoal grilled on a wide steel skewer. Delicious. Best of all, this place has an ace up its sleeve when trying to feed a group. Their sharing grilled platter comes with lamb, chicken, Adana, and wings with bulgur, sumac onions and a range of sides for just €39. Take on this foodie challenge alone or with your friends!
Stepping away from Dublin City and out into the suburbs now, Keshk is a restaurant in the beautiful village of Ballsbridge that serves up a wide range of Turkish and Mediterranean dishes. One of our favourite things about Keshk is that it’s a BYOB restaurant with no corkage fee! They also feature lunch and dinner menus, so whether you’re dropping in for a quick bite or want to settle down in an intimate and cosy restaurant with your significant other, the options are plentiful throughout the day. If you’re heading in for lunch before a shopping day in Dublin, why not try a Charcoaled Kafta for €14.95 with minced lamb and onions, fresh parsley, and a mix of seven Mediterranean spices, served with basmati rice or homemade potatoes. If it’s a dinner you’re after, Keshk will serve up a Lamb Moussaka for just €19.95. An oven baked dish of layered potatoes and aubergines, minced lamb, separated by tomatoes, garlic, and onion, then topped with a béchamel sauce. We can’t get enough of Keshk!
Rounding off the list, we’ve got Ella’s Heaven located on Talbot Street in Dublin. Ella’s is an all-day lunch and dessert diner featuring an array of Middle Eastern small plates and treats. It’s a beautiful niche spot, that would impress any guest on a day trip. Start your experience in Ella’s with an Adjaruli Khachapuri small plate, followed up by a Chakhokhbili dish. Ella’s undoubtedly features some of the most authentic Turkish foods in Dublin. If you’re stopping by for a quick bite though, their dessert and hot drinks menu will have you set for a day walking around Dublin’s old streets. We’d recommend a mussel baklava with pistachio coupled with an authentic Turkish coffee.
