The iconic pub in the city centre of Glasgow offers a Ceilidh every Friday from 8.30pm in the grand ballroom with tickets priced from £12.50 per person and group bookings also available. To keep you dancing all night, hot sausage rolls will be sure to keep you fuelled but there’s nothing to stop you devouring a tasty meal before getting your dancing on. The bistro menu offers a wide selection of moreish pub food including Sloans’ renowned macaroni cheese served with skinny fries. Beer battered fish and chips, steak and Guinness pie, and burgers are also popular dishes.

Nuzzled in the heart of Ashton Lane you will find Brel, a quirky Belgium style restaurant with a fun, bright premise. Afternoon tea is a must have at Mr MacGregor’s, but be sure to give 24 hours advance notice when booking as everything is prepared freshly on the day. This is a great way to indulge on the bank holiday Monday as with the afternoon tea offerings you can expect an assortment of savoury sandwiches and wraps as well as warm scones served with Chantilly cream and strawberry jam. Finish off your afternoon tea with a selection of mini cakes and puddings. £14.95 per person with tea or coffee and afternoon tea can be upgraded to £19.95 per person if you want to add a glass of fizz.
