Pride Month in Liverpool

Pride Month is fast-approaching, and if you’re looking to find somewhere to celebrate in Liverpool then you’ve come to the right place. This city has plenty on offer for Pride revellers to enjoy. You can head to Liverpool’s Pride Quarter or the many LGBTQ+ friendly locations in the city, where anyone and everyone can celebrate Pride Month. Here’s a handy bumper guide to Liverpool’s best places to eat and drink during the Pride Month festivities.

Heading to Liverpool’s Pride Quarter? Here you’ll find a plethora of LGBTQ+ venues along Stanley Street, Victoria Street, Dale Street and Tithebarn Street. Before heading to the bars, make sure you line your stomach for the festivities ahead. A popular food spot is Turtle Bay on Victoria Street, where you can enjoy delicious Caribbean-inspired cuisine and 2-4-1 cocktails to start your Pride celebrations off right. If you’re heading out early, you should try the bottomless brunch, which includes a dish of your choice and unlimited drinks for two hours.

If you prefer a more chilled night with a cocktail or two, then Jenny’s is the best place for you. It may not look much from the outside – especially since the sign outside reads “Jenny’s Seafood Restaurant”, which was its former home – however, once you’re inside, you’ll discover a disco drinking den with some of the best mixologists in Liverpool.

Locals are obsessed with the sweet and sour Lovelace cocktail, which is a tribute to everyone’s favourite 70s star. You can also enjoy a disco in a glass, with the sparkly Absolut Disco cocktails, which actually comes in a disco ball cup!

If you are lucky enough to reserve a seat, you can relax on the red velvet sofas, while sipping on a cocktail and enjoying the chilled vibes. Later on in the night, the mood will pick up, as the resident DJ takes the reins and blasts out the best disco tunes. If you are planning a night at Jenny’s then make sure you make a booking to avoid disappointment, especially during Pride as this will be a prime spot for drinks.

If last year is anything to go by, Albert’s Schloss is the perfect spot to celebrate pride. In 2023, the Bold Street venue hosted a Pride Weekender filled with celebration, love and joy, accompanied by spectacular shows. The festivities began at 4:45pm on the Friday afternoon with Apres-Work performances. Attendees enjoyed special drink offers on spritz, seasonal cocktails, pilsner and bottles of prosecco until 7pm, followed by further Friday frolics until the early hours with Good Luckin’ and Albert’s Haus Band.

On the Saturday, the iconic Pleasure Palace took the stage from 3:30pm, featuring R&B and Soul vocalist Joe Hazlett, and wrapped up with Sunday Service performances by Soul City Voices before the Testify Industrie Knees-Up brought the weekend to a close. Hopefully everyone will get to enjoy the same again, but maybe even bigger and better this year. Keep your eyes peeled and make sure you secure a table before it’s all booked up.
