September is a month for eating in-between seasons. As summer transitions into autumn, we begin to crave more hearty comfort foods. To keep us warm and cosy in the dark nights ahead, The Broughton Pub and Eatery on Broughton Street in Edinburgh has launched a hearty new seasonal menu as well as an impressive new cocktail menu that pays homage to the venue’s neighbourhood.

The new ‘Broughton Locals’ cocktail menu includes six new cocktails inspired by the streets of New Town and Leith.
Barony Street Bramble, like its namesake street, is The Broughton’s take on the classic Bramble. Made with Bombay Sapphire Premium Cru, Creme de Cassis, and lemon.
Nectar of Leith Walk with Havana 7, St Germain, Benedictine and honey for that “Those Road Works Are Finally Gone” sensation.

The smooth Auld Albany Street is full of heart and warmth, with Courvoisier VSOP, Aberfeldy 12, Angostura bitters, and sugar to keep you warm and cosy during the dark autumnal nights.
The London Street Cherry, with Cointreau, Disaronno, Maraschino, cherry bitters, egg white, and lemon, is a real gem, just like “Edinburgh’s Sistine Chapel.”

Another take on a classic, York Place Last Word, made with Maraschino, Chartreuse, Botanist, and lemon offers all the class of York Place’s infamous prohibition era.
Broughton Street, one of Edinburgh’s busiest streets, can be a jungle, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. The Broughton Street Jungle combines Bacardi Spiced, Martini Bitter, pineapple, and lime to give you a taste of Broughton Street.
Aside from the new Broughton Locals menu, The Broughton also serves a variety of classic cocktails, such as the All Day Bloody Mary, Passionfruit Margarita, Old Fashioned, Coconut Espresso Martini, Daiquiri, and, of course, a Pornstar Martini.

While The Broughton is famous for its The Sunday Times ‘Best Roast in Edinburgh’, the new Autumn menu embraces the new while giving a respectful nod to the familiar, making it a venue that welcomes all who visit the trendy neighbourhood.
The new autumnal menu is jam-packed with delectable dishes and hearty winter warmers. From Isle of Mull Cheddar Hash Brown to Natural Smoked Haddock with Crushed Potato and Poached Hen’s Egg, The Broughton’s expert chefs have carefully considered and beautifully designed each dish on the new menu.

Additional menu dishes include Pearl Barley Risotto, wild mushroom, aged Parmesan with crispy egg; Braised Beef Feather Blade, “our mash” and braised shallot; as well as the famous Broughton Burger, St. Andrews cheddar, lettuce, tomato and triple cooked chips.
