If you’re a waffle lover then you’re in good hands here, because we’ve pulled together a guide to Ireland’s best waffles where you should book in for your next treat.
Dwyers of Cork offers an unbeatable gastro-dining experience, featuring cosy booths and snugs that are open from morning till late. Here you’ll find breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner, all served with an emphasis on local produce. Waffle lovers rejoice, because here you can order yours with crispy bacon and maple syrup, Kinder Bueno with Nutella and vanilla ice cream, or buttermilk fried chicken tenders. If you’re ravenous, then order the pancake and waffle sharing board where there’s heaps of Belgian sweet waffles and American-style pancakes loaded with the best toppings around.

The SpitJack Rotisserie Brasserie in Cork serves locally sourced, quality produce cooked on a rotisserie. This is an upmarket, all day brasserie that serves breakfast, brunch/lunch and dinner. There’s an impressive offering of Belgian waffles. For the sweet toothed out there, order the Chocolate: White and Milk Chocolate Chips, Nutella Brownie, Chantilly Cream and Chocolate Sauce; or if you’re more savoury inclined go for either the bacon and maple syrup or the crispy fried pulled rotisserie chicken, spicy buffalo sauce, sour cream and spring onions.
Eaton 6W is a restaurant located on Terenure Road North serving excellent modern food. With a strong focus on local producers, the team has created menus to be enjoyed by all diners. The weekend brunch is very popular (so make sure to book!), and it’s no surprise when there’s house made waffles fresh from the griddle served. Have yours with caramelised banana and Nutella or maple syrup and bacon!

Crawford & Co is Cork’s number one bottomless brunch venue. Here you can try signature brunch dishes every Saturday and go bottomless if you feel like adding some bubbles. The bottomless brunch is available 12pm-4pm, and you can add €25 to any brunch dish for bottomless bubbles for two hours. One of the best dishes on the menu is the Brunch Waffle served with Southern fried chicken, streaky bacon and organic maple syrup. Del-ici-ous!
