The best Turkish restaurants in Liverpool

Elif is the first Turkish restaurant chain in Liverpool – with food so amazing, they had to open two locations! One on Bold Street and one on Lark Lane – both prime culinary locations in Liverpool where you will find a fantastic array of cuisines from around the world. 

This is an authentic Turkish restaurant serving predominantly lamb and chicken dishes with some amazing veggie options too, packed full of flavour, you’ll be spoiled for choice no matter what you pick! We tried the Patlicanli Kebab – a BBQ char-grilled pieces of Chicken and/ or Lamb served on a bed of fried Aubergine with their special sauce and the hot meze of aubergine, onion, green peppers, tomatoes, parsley and olive oil.

Hafla Hafla serves Middle Eastern inspired street food with local craft beer and exciting cocktails. It’s healthy, delicious and not the kind of food you’ll see on many other menus. It’s feel good food that makes you think of the sun, summer and good times.

Think ingredients like pomegranate seeds, fresh pickled cabbage, harissa mayo and general deliciousness! We cannot recommend this place enough. Their main restaurant is located on  the infamous Lark Lane and their other location is a residency in the Baltic Market.

Shiraz BBQ Grill is a one-of-a-kind culinary establishment with a menu inspired by the idea of simple and honest cooking. Starting in 2011, Shiraz developed a unique dining experience for their guests using fresh and sustainable ingredients. They serve a huge range of grilled meats, plenty of veggie options that are not short on flavour and halal options are available upon request.

Macello Meat House has gotten so popular it now has two venues – one in the south of Liverpool in Childwall and one in the north in West Derby Village. Macello Meat House first opened in Childwall in 2017 and it quickly became known for its delicious Turkish-style dishes and mouth watering steaks. On the menu, you’ll find everything from Shanghai beef steak and garlic leaf steak to prime ribeye and special cuts such as a 1kg T-bone. There’s also an Insta-worthy golden fillet, which is covered with 24k gold leaf!

Since its opening, some popular faces have frequented this place, including Liverpool FC’s own Mohammed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Fabhino so it must be good!
