What do you think of when you hear the words street food? Messy? Delicious? Naughty? All of the above? Well if you’re wondering where to get your street food fix in Liverpool, carry on reading because here is our guide to the most delicious street food in Liverpool!
Baltic Market is Liverpool’s first street food market! Showcasing the best Liverpool has to offer in one location, this is the perfect place to spend the Summer months. Since COVID, it’s developed the outdoor seating so now you can sit in the sun and snack on the best street food and cocktails that Liverpool has to offer. Home of halloumi fries, frozen gin slushies and bubble waffles, you can also find delicious gyros and wood-fired pizzas. Its urban but simplistic interior hosts a relaxed vibe, live music, DJs and even comedy nights!
Nestled in the cultural hub of the Royal Albert Dock, Madre is the perfect place to sip on some cocktails and enjoy authentic Mexican street food. You can get everything from fish tacos with jalapeño aioli to chorizo quesadillas with salsa brava. It also serves a range of delicious margaritas like the spicy but sweet one with jalapeño and pineapple, as well as the classic frozen margarita – what’s not to love?

Enjoy the relaxed indoor and outdoor vibe at Free State Kitchen and discover its HUGE secret garden at 1 Maryland Street, in the heart of Liverpool’s Cultural Quarter. If you’re in town and are craving a bit of sun whilst you wait for your food, then Free State Kitchen is for you. The garden is an oasis tucked away a five minute walk out of the main city centre. The menu is full predominantly of burgers, as well as American classics such as mac n’ cheese and loaded fries. It also serves the best sundaes around including biscoff (yum!) if you fancy something sweet, and the delicious cocktails are two for £15.

Birdies is located in the famous Baltic Triangle, a great area of culture in Liverpool where you can find a lot of independent bars, restaurants and cafes. Birdies is a favourite in the Baltic Triangle area thanks to its quirky outdoor seating and tasty street food truck. Our personal favourite is the Cheeky Elvis burger – you’ll have to go and find out for yourself what flavours are included in that one! It also serves loaded fries, wings and ribs so don’t forget the napkins!
Hafla Hafla serves Middle Eastern inspired street food with local craft beer and exciting cocktails. It’s healthy, delicious and not the kind of food you’ll see on many other menus. It’s feel good food that makes you think of the sun, summer and good times. Think ingredients like pomegranate seeds, fresh pickled cabbage, harissa mayo and general deliciousness! We cannot recommend this place enough. The main restaurant is located on the infamous Lark Lane and the other location is a residency in the Baltic Market.
