Since opening in 1998 Gamba – lauded as a “basement haven in the city” – has been offering up the people of Glasgow some seriously impressive seafood dishes. The ‘exotic’ Fish Soup with prawn dumplings has achieved a cult status among locals and tourists alike. Service is impeccably slick, and the atmosphere is sophisticated. All the plates are beautifully refined and well-presented, and though the dishes aren’t cheap – the quality of the produce certainly warrants the higher price tag.
