O Sole Mio prides itself on introducing the first real wood-fired pizza oven in Scotland back in 1965, built to the standards of craftsmanship from Napoli – the home of pizza. If you’re after something smaller, from the wee bites section of the menu you’ll find a pizza slice (just tell the server which one you want) for just £5.

Villa Toscana opened in 2006 and has since established itself as one of the most popular and authentic Italian restaurants in Glasgow. The team here takes enormous pride in making sure each dish is both well presented and cooked to perfection – it’s the Italian way, after all! There’s a dedicated pizza section on the menu offering classics such as Diavola, Vegetariana or the Quatro Formaggi.

There’s a brilliant pizza and pasta offer here, Monday to Wednesday from 5pm for just £35. For this price you’ll get any pizza or pasta dish with a bottle of Ponte Gio wine. We recommend the Capricciosa pizza: tomato sugo, mozzarella, roast ham, mushroom and artichoke – delicious.
