Meaning “small bar” in Italian, Pilu’s Baretto stays true to its name, serving great cocktails and a sophisticated Italian-Australian wine list in an intimate space overlooking the shore of Freshwater beach.

Nibble on the contemporary bar food–cured meats, cheese, and antipasti– and wash it down with the ‘Viola’ – a crispy pairing of Manly Coastal Gin, Fiorente Elderflower, blueberry, and lemon.

The Public Dining Room
cuisinesContemporary fine dining

Offering casual fine dining in a beachside brasserie is The Public Dining Room at Balmoral, a North Shore favourite with cocktails aplenty.

Their Hendrick’s Garden comes with Hendrick’s gin, blueberries, cucumber, and elderflower liqueurs – elevating the iconic favourite to a whole other level. We’re fans.

Flaunting old-world grandeur without any of the stiff-upper-lip, Highlander is a polished heritage bar marching to the beat of a new rhythm.

Despite being whisky-centric, these guys know their gin and tonics, so order a glass between bites from their gourmet bar selection and finish off with a whisky-infused dessert.

If their separate gin room featuring over 50 local gins isn’t reason enough for a visit, the lush green rooftop with boutique wine and a gorgeous Mosman view might be.

No matter which G&T you pick, you’re in great hands (though we do love the Melon Thyme featuring Four Pillars, Yuzu, watermelon, thyme, and lemon agave tonic).
