Which is why we’ve rounded up a selection of the best cheese events taking place in the Emerald City over the next couple of months. Cheese lovers will not want to miss out…

It’s the Aussies against the Europeans in this delicious battle for victory…and you’re invited to be the judge.
Your mission is simple. Step 1: Blind taste three pairs of cheeses. Step 2: Try to guess which is Australian or European. Step 3: Gasp in surprise – or smug delight – as your professional expert reveals the answer…
You’ll discover the cultural history, region, terroir, producer, ageing process and taste profile of each cheese. You’ll also take home tasting notes and wine pairing recommendations.
For a whole hour of guided premium cheese tasting, $15 per head is a steal.

We’re also told six well-stocked bars will grant easy access to beverages for pairing.
The weekend down at Circular Quay also promises complimentary masterclasses, cheesemonger demonstrations, and expert talks all about the world of cheese – from the history to the maker’s process.
Entry is completely free of charge, so pencil it in your diary right away. No bookings required but for more information head to the Bon Fromage Festival website.
