The winner of the Scottish Restaurant of the Year award for 2023 has been announced, and we’re proud to say taking home the top prize of the night was the Sun Dancer Bar and Restaurant in Nairn.

Thanks to a menu specialising in seafood and steak, which champions local produce, Sun Dancer has won the prestigious for this year.
The second annual Scottish Restaurant Awards Ceremony took place at the Glasgow Marriot Hotel recently with a selection of the country’s most celebrated chefs, industry professionals and food enthusiasts invited to attend.

Opened in 2017, Sun Dancer Restaurant can be found at the former location of the Sandancer Arcade, which overlooks the Moray Firth. Unique seafood and grill dishes created with fresh local ingredients, some as close as the Moray firth itself, gives diners something special every time they eat here.

Other winners on the night included The Wee Chippy in Anstruther (Fish & Chips Restaurant of the Year), Piccolo Mondo in Glasgow (Italian Restaurant of the Year), Fletcher’s in Stirling (Restaurant Team of the Year), Tonino’s Pizzeria in Greenock (Pizza Restaurant of the Year), Ondine in Edinburgh (Best World Cuisine), Ristorante Pieno in Glasgow (Best of Glasgow), and Sapporo Teppanyaki in Glasgow (Sushi Restaurant of the Year).

Congratulations to all winners from everyone here at Dish Cult, brilliant achievements all round.
