Steak in Belfast

Specialising in prime dry aged steaks and seafood on hot granite stones, one of the oldest methods of cooking, Stix and Stones source ingredients from local suppliers. Their steak is sourced locally from Carnbrooke Meats where it is dry aged in unique Hamalyan Rock Salt chambers to produce sweet, flavoursome, multi-award winning beef. There are loads of different types you can choose from, Wagyu, Angus, Belted Galloway, Dexter, and Mourne Shorthorn. If you’re looking for steak heaven, this is it.

The name behind the restaurant comes from a man called Stewart hadski, who opened an iron foundry in 1760, making pots and pans. Although the business closed in 1998, pots and pans are still part of Commercial Court in the form of Hadski’s restaurant. Open for a wee while now, this place is somewhere you’re bound to have a delicious meal. The steak on the menu is from Co. Tyrone, and you can even try a Tomahawk or Chataeubriand, go figure. If you fancy a fancy dinner, that’s what you’ll get, but none of that stuffy stuff, it’s all served with Belfast soul. If you’re hanging round the cathedral quarter, give this place a try.

Going out for steak can be expensive, but sometimes you get that craving, and it’s just what you fancy. If you’re free sometime Monday-Friday between 12-6pm, then you need to go to The Grill, because, drum roll please… you can get a £10 flat iron steak served pink with triple cooked fat chips. Steak for a tenner is relatively unheard of, so leave work early or have a special lunch here ASAP. If you’ve got an afternoon spare, make sure to indulge in one of their cocktails, the Belfast Bramble is a great choice, made of Shortcross gin, ruby blue blackcurrant liqueur, lemon juice, and gomme. Another favourite is Mammy’s Martini (just cos of the name), made from ruby blue potato vodka and blackcurrant liqueur, pineapple juice, lime juice, and soda. Get booking!
