Introducing Hanoi is the latest six-course tasting menu from the concept restaurant chain that takes diners on a journey around the world using flavours and smells. Launching on 18th July and running for six weeks until 28th August, the exciting new menu will transport diners to the bustling historic streets of the Vietnamese capital.

Working with talented and creative Vietnamese contributors, the brilliant chefs and menu wizards at Six by Nico have come up with a six-course tasting menu that will bring a vibrant and authentic taste of Vietnam to Belfast.

Offering a great value experience, the six course menu is priced at £37 per person, plus an additional £30 if you opt to add on matching wines. As with all of Six by Nico’s tasting menus, Introducing Hanoi will be available for a limited time only, so make sure to book early so you don’t miss out.

What’s on the menu?

Hanoi is a city famous for its street food and this is something the creatives at Six by Nico hope to portray. The new menu features a delicious six courses that celebrate the vibrant flavours of foods sold on the city streets by local traders.

Course one, Bún Riêu, offers fresh flavours featuring Vietnamese shellfish foam, avocado, grapefruit, crispy noodles, and white rice. Course two, Nem Rán, continues to celebrate the Vietnamese seafood culture, featuring crispy prawn Nem Rán, spring roll, carrot, and mooli.

Course three is a smoked beef dish called Bún Bo, course four is called Chà Cá Lã Vong and focuses on cod, and course five is a tamarind chicken dish called Gòi Xoài. Closing out the menu is a delicious sweet treat called Bánh Trôi, which is a palm sugar delice, complete with kumquat and lime and ginger mousse.

Catering for all, Six by Nico also offers a separate vegetarian menu, with vegan, gluten free, and other allergen alternatives available. Its website states; “While some of the ingredients on the dish may not permit a suitable swap that would allow the dish to remain exactly the same, the team are more than happy to provide you with an alternative ensuring you can enjoy the six-course tasting experience.”
