Miracle On...
Six by Nico offers one of the most unique dining experiences in Belfast. With a new menu every six weeks featuring six creatively curated dishes centred around a single theme, diners are guaranteed a fantastic and flavourful dining experience.
As Christmas takes over the city, Six by Nico is warming up guests with their brand new seasonal menu, ‘Miracle On…’, launching on 13th December and running all throughout the festive season until 9th January.
After the success of the seasonal tasting menu in previous years, the chefs at Six by Nico decided to bring back the popular Christmas menu for 2021. Offering diners a nostalgic taste of Christmas past, ‘Miracle On…’ will take you on a trip down memory lane as each course brings you a new element of festive cheer.
Course one, called ‘Memories of a Christmas Market’, takes your tastebuds on a delicious trip around a traditional German festive market. The dish comprises smoked sausage and onion compote, smoked sausage espuma, crispy potato, gherkins, and pickled shallots.
After your trip to the market, you will move on to course two, ‘Partridge in a Pear Tree’, which features partridge, duck, and chicken boudin, haricot bean, pickled walnut, and salsify.
Course three is perfect for those who enjoy the green ‘love it or hate it’ addition to a traditional Christmas dinner. Titled ‘Who Doesn’t Like Brussels Sprouts?’, whether you’re a fan of them or not, we are sure you’ll enjoy this delicious dish. It features chanterelle mushroom, sprout tops, ewes cheese royale, confit egg, and fermented black garlic.
Course four transports you to a lively Christmas party as you enjoy ‘Smoked Salmon Blinis’, comprising smoked salmon, celeriac, queen kale, Granny Smith apples, smoked caviar, and potato blini foam.
The penultimate course will remind you of relaxing with family as you digest your hearty Christmas dinner to make some room for dessert. Called ‘Festive Fun and Games’, course five features a haunch of venison, game pie, Jerusalem artichoke, toasted hazelnut, and sherry jus.
Last but not least, ‘Buche de Noel’ offers the perfect sweet treat to round out this flavour festive feast. This tasty dessert comprises a dulche de leche mousseline, sour cherry, white glacage, hazelnut, and chocolate aero. The perfect light and chocolate-filled dessert to complete this delicious festive menu.
Six by Nico also offer a vegetarian alternative to the standard ‘Miracle On…’ menu. Courses one, three, and six remain the same while courses two, four, and five are swapped for delicious vegetarian alternatives, such as pumpkin tortellini, celeriac fondant, and crushed artichoke ravioli.
