Six by Nico announces return of much-loved menu

Unique concept restaurant Six by Nico has captured the hearts of diners all across the UK who are keen to try an array of delicious small plates centred around a creative and familiar theme. 

Over the years, themes have ranged from fairytale-inspired menus to various global cuisines, movie-focused dishes to plates based around your childhood favourites. 

However, as is often the case, the original can sometimes be the best. Hence why the popular restaurant chain is going back to its roots with the return of its very first menu – ‘The Chippie’, which was first launched all the way back in 2017 with the opening of the flagship Glasgow restaurant.

The concept behind the restaurant 

Six by Nico is a popular restaurant chain with outlets in cities all across the UK, including Glasgow, London and Belfast. It offers unique and creative six course tasting menus, which change every six weeks, meaning diners can experience something new each time they visit.

An idea conceived from the mind of talented Chef Nico Simeone, each dish and menu is themed around a different place or memory. Thus, transporting diners to somewhere new – or familiar – with every bite.

The return of a favourite 

Having been first coined in 2017 with the opening of its Glasgow outlet, the team has had plenty of time to tweak and craft the iconic ‘The Chippie’ menu to near-perfection.

So, whether you’re a newcomer or an old fan of The Chippie, this is the perfect time to head inside and enjoy the welcoming aromas and flavours of a classic British chip shop.

Featuring all your Chippie favourites, including Chips and Cheese, Scampi, a hearty Fish Supper, Smoked Sausage, Steak Pie, and an indulgent Deep Fried Mars Bar with Irn Bru Sorbet for dessert, you’ll truly be brought down memory lane dining here.

Even those following a plant-based diet need not worry about missing out. Alongside the regular Chippie menu, Six by Nico will also be offering a veggie alternative, which features a Cauliflower Beignet, Root Vegetable Pie, Halloumi, and Feta and Spinach Cannelloni.

It even offers creative chip shop-inspired Aperitifs for those who fancy a tipple. If heading to the chip shop reminds you of days by the water, you might enjoy the ‘Sea Side Spritz’ with lemon, Earl Grey, prosecco and samphire. Otherwise, you might prefer the fantastic ‘Dirty Chippie Martini’, which comes with Dry Gin, Vermouth, lemon, pickle, and a gherkin – don’t knock it ‘till you try it!

The menu is part of a pop-up series the restaurant is running and will be available in its Belfast outlet every Wednesday between 27th May and 27th June. With such limited availability, tables are certain to book up fast so we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.
