Get the full Trinity College experience by going for a meal in the traditional Gallaher’s Bistro and coffee house. Built in 1891 by J.F Fuller for Gallaher’s Tobacco Company, it soon became Dublin’s meeting spot for journalists, Trinity students, and architecture enthusiasts. Serving contemporary European-style dishes, Gallaher uses only fresh, locally-sourced produce from the best of Dublin’s suppliers. You are definitely in for a real feast!
Only three minutes away from Trinity College, Red Torch Ginger serves Thai and Asian cuisine. Adding their personality and creativity to give traditional dishes their own unique stamp, this is one of the best restaurants near Trinity College. Enjoy the famous five-spice crispy calamari, followed by authentic street food dishes like their delicious Pad Thai noodles. And if you’re looking for a challenge, add some spices and chillies for the full Thai experience!
As the youngest British chef to win three Michelin stars, Marco Pierre White’s cuisine has always been associated with quality and brilliance. Learning his craft from the likes of Raymond Blanc and Michel Roux in the 80s, you’d quite rightly expect his restaurant to deliver top class cuisine and oh, does it deliver. Not many restaurants can get a rib-eye steak, crispy fries and a Béarnaise sauce all done to absolute perfection but Marco Pierre White has managed to execute each element perfectly. I mean, just look at the photo!
Just a stone’s throw away from Dublin’s Trinity College, enjoy a taste of Tokyo at Yamamori Izakaya. Much like Ireland has its pubs, Japan has its Izakayas, a type of Japanese bar in which a variety of small plates and sushi are served to accompany alcohol. The interior transports you to the busy streets of Tokyo with Manga cartoons and lanterns, and the food is nothing short of magical. The rainbow rolls with black rice and crispy dragon rolls are a particular highlight, and don’t forget after dinner you can party the night away downstairs, with tunes from the best of Dublin’s up-and-coming DJ’s.
