Bristol's best private dining options
There’s a difference between private dining and dining privately, trust us. If you’re thinking of the one where you order something shameful from Deliveroo and eat it in bed with the cat, you’re in the wrong place. What we’re gonna tell you about is private dining in Bristol; nice venues, great food, and a gathering of pals and family. If that’s your bag, read on.
It doesn’t get much more classy than Milk Thistle. This impressive building on Colston Avenue hosts an even more impressive interior with stained glass windows, quirky decor, and a hella lot of cocktails. Hire out The Attic for up to 40 people, The Lounge for up to 60, or the vault for up to 18, with a range of drinking and dining options for each. If you’re hosting a bit party like a wedding, they can also cater for that too. And your guests will be well impressed with their brilliant cocktail menu.
Another stunning Bristol venue, Cosy Club is a local favourite for casual drinks, dinner with the gang, or a full scale party. They have two private dining rooms, The Peacock, and The Mezzanine, each separated and yet still part of the main bar/restaurant area. Neither room has a hire fee but they do have small minimum spends to hire out exclusively. (Let’s not lie though, you’re generally sure to hit it!)
Your idea of pool parties might be a bit of a 90’s throwback, with beach balls, and burgers and chips after. But we’re bringing you something entirely different. The Lido is an outdoor pool with a classy restaurant and bar attached, situated in gorgeous Clifton. The whole restaurant can be hired out for up to 100 people for a sit down meal or 150 for drinks and canapes. You can also hire the terrace for smaller gatherings with space for between 24-50 people, or the Victorian Tea room for around 18. Enjoy their Spanish food and great wine while watching the swimmers, or you and your guests can take a dip yourselves.
