Warmer months call for lighter, fresher fare. Enter Acapulco, Dublin’s oldest Mexican restaurant. This place is loved by locals and tourists alike, and it’s not hard to see why. The food here is all about seasonal flavours and local ingredients, with plenty of options for veggies and vegans too. Equally pleasing are the fajita platters – a spicy mix of onions and sliced peppers, served with salsa, sour cream and warm flour tortillas, and a choice of either mixed veg, marinated chicken, marinated steak, or prawns. Prices are reasonable (most dishes hover around the ten euro mark), portion sizes are generous, and there’s an excellent dessert menu to boot —we’re looking at you, deep fried ice cream!
