With locally sourced produce and in-season menus, this is also a great spot for environmentally conscious, foodie parents. We love a sunny Sunday walk through Ashton Court Estate, with expansive ground for the kids to play, walk the dog and bask in the glorious (we hope) weather! The Courtyard Cafe is the perfect spot to start your walk or perhaps refuel at the end. It’s a nice spot for coffee and cake, as well as offering healthy, locally sourced, sustainable dishes. Offering ample space, a children’s play area, dogs allowed and high chairs all within a lovely atmosphere, this is the perfect family spot.

Watershed

Overlooking the water of Bristol’s Harbourside, we love it here at Watershed. It features a simple but effective kids menu, served Tuesday to Sunday from midday until 8pm in surroundings with ample space. Watershed is an incredibly artsy venue, with an epic cinema showing a total range of films. Great for both family days out, as well as parents’ date night.

The City Farm Cafe

A dreamy family venue that doubles up as the perfect day out. Situated in the middle of The City Farm and serving home cooked, carefully sourced food, we love the cafe here. Serving delicious cakes, coffee, kids’ menu, veggie-led dishes as well as meat that is always reared on the farm itself, you are sure to find something delicious! This is also a great opportunity to introduce the children to animals, ranging from goats to chickens.

Serving up fresh Roman style pizza every day, Pizza on the Park is an absolute crowd pleaser! With a cracking kids’ menu, as well as a happy hour, both the parents and kids can be pleased. You’ll find vegan and gluten free options too, making Pizza on the Park a sure-fire winner for everyone.

We love a Stokes Croft venue here at Dish Cult, with so much creative energy and events going on in the area. Caribbean Croft is the perfect family pit stop on a summer holiday day out. With a relaxed atmosphere, delicious Caribbean food and an extensive selection of rum (definitely not for the kids, but most certainly for the parents), you are sure to leave feeling full and content. The kids’ menu here is aimed for ages 14 and under and is both affordable and exciting. This is the perfect venue to encourage the family to potentially try new foods whilst knowing they will most certainly leave feeling full.

TGI Fridays is the perfect place for a celebration this summer, especially if it’s a child’s birthday party. You’ll find loads of tempting dishes that are a huge hit with mini fans, alongside famous cocktails which are also a massive hit with bigger fans. Throw in an amazing team and TGI Fridays has got all the ingredients to get the party started.
