We cannot go past a chocolate lava cake when we’re on the search for dessert. Cutting into the soft sponge to reveal a trail of molten chocolate lava is unlike any other dessert experience, and once paired with a cooling ice cream, the dessert is elevated into a top tier dish. Simple but so, so good. Dhia does one of the best lava cakes we’ve found in Singapore. Alongside their lava cake, they also have burnt cheesecake, brownie and ice cream, apple crumble, pecan pie, and Italian Affogato for an evening pick me up!

Set in the stunning Sofitel Singapore, Racines does fine dining right. Resist from heading straight to the dessert menu, but once you get there, there’s no room for disappointment. Keeping it short and sweet (no pun intended) we have a Cointreau Soufflé with lime sorbet for those looking for something with a bit of bite and not overly indulgent. Our Dish Cult pick is the Moelleux, a baked chocolate fondant with berry vierge and vanilla ice cream – a classic combo of berries, chocolates, and vanilla is always going to keep us happy. Finally, end on a super sweet note with a scoop of Lychee Sorbet, although it’s so good just one may not be enough!
