Loop and Scoop
cuisinesIce cream, Churro

Who can say no to a batch of freshly baked churros, dunked in a rich, chocolatey sauce? Not us! That’s why we love Great Western Road’s Loop and Scoop – where you’ll find chocolate goodness aplenty. The menu is extensive: ‘Straight churros’, dusted with sugar of cinnamon sugar, are all served with your choice of dip – choose from Belgium Chocolate, Nutella, White Chocolate, Dark Chocolate (or, if you’re not in the mood for chocolate, Peanut Butter or Biscoff sauce!). If you feel like something daintier, why not opt for their ‘Churro Bites’, miniature chunks of churros drizzled with chocolate? There’s even ‘Churro Lollypops’, ‘Churro Cups’ (served alongside their award-winning gelato) and ‘Filled Churros’, filled to the brim with oozy chocolate centres. The Hot Chocolate here is also stand-out, served with marshmallows and cream, it’s decadent and rich – order one alongside some churros and thank us later!

If it’s sugar you are craving, What the Fudge certainly fits the bill. From chocolate-loaded Milkshakes (filled with Aero Mint, Bounty, Crunchie, Ferrero or Oreo!), Waffles (loaded with Nutella, Belgian Chocolate Sauce, or Kinder Bueno) to their famous ‘Chocolate Volcano’ Pudding – oozing with a molten chocolate middle and served with Vanilla Ice-Cream – you’ll be spoiled for choice. The interiors are diner-like, all big-booths and neon lights, and the atmosphere is super lively.

Hotel Chocolat
cuisinesChocolatier

Looking for a chic and sophisticated way to enjoy some chocolate? Then look no further. Located in the beautiful Princes Square, Hotel Chocolat is the perfect destination to indulge. Amid an array of beautifully boxed chocolates and luxury chocolate-based gifts sits a small café serving-up a tonne of chocolatey treats. Their Hot Chocolates are second to none (we like their award-winning Salted Caramel version) as are their ice creams – all drizzled in a sauce of your choice, complete with a chocolate spoon and finished with a ‘seasonal shard’ of chocolate. Fancy something a bit different? Why not try one of their cocoa-based teas – choose from Peppermint and Cocoa, Chai, Chilli and Cocoa or Ginger and Cocoa. Their baked goods are equally pleasing: the ‘Original Brownie’ is one of the city’s finest, and their Chocolate Biscotti are perfect to dunk into your Hot Chocolate. Not one to miss!
