Set over two floors, this one Michelin star restaurant provides an imaginative menu consisting of modern British cuisine. Featured in the Michelin Guide, Adelina Yard has a lot to show for it: mainly, an outstanding tasting menu that consists of European dishes prepared from locally sourced ingredients. You’re welcome to sit at the chef’s table to witness the art of food preparation in its glory; the cooks are award-winning chefs with years of expertise that treat cooking more like a passion than a job. Similarly, the staff treat each other like a part of a family and make you feel like you belong as soon as you step into the venue. While some people might feel out of place when they try fine dining for the first time, there’s no such concern at Adelina Yard. The interior is pleasantly modern and perfect for a date or a family meal.

Wilsons joined the prestigious guide in 2022 when it was awarded a Michelin Green Star that honours venues with sustainable practices. Wilsons is a great example for both foodies and the hospitality industry as it recognises the negative impact a hefty menu has on the environment. So if you care about the ecosystem and often struggle to decide what to eat, this place is for you. Wilsons’ offer is limited but delicious, with top-notch ingredients that change weekly. You can expect a tasty meal in a homely atmosphere and a minimalistic setting.

This Michelin Star restaurant boasts a unique concept with seasonally changing décor and dishes influenced by Asian cuisine that are well deserving of the award. The menu is made of 20 fine courses, served all at once. But take note – if you’re looking for a quiet night, you’ll be better off going somewhere else! Casamia loves music and you can expect a versatile playlist or even a DJ. Unfortunately, the place is set to close permanently at the end of August so if you want to give it a go, make sure you book a table ASAP.

Paco Tapas is another restaurant with a Michelin Star in its portfolio. While the venue offers fine Spanish wine and high quality food, expect a relaxed atmosphere, just like the one you can find in a tapas bar. The menu is nothing short of outstanding: a selection of starters, cold meats, vegetable dishes, fish and cheese, plus delicious desserts that are the perfect sweet ending. The venue is buzzy and comes with a terrace space where you can catch up with your friend or even make new friendships – this family-run restaurant is all about making you feel welcome and connected.

Littlefrench is a bistro with a cosy, rustic feel where you can taste some of the best French food you’ve had in your life. This includes starters such as fillet steak tartare with bone marrow toast and a selection of delicious mains (think wood-grilled veal chop, hispi, sauce robert, garlic and rosemary fried potatoes). If you’re visiting with your friends or family, you can choose one of the sharing dishes and pair it all with a glass of affordable wine. The interior combines French influences with bohemian Bristol, so if you’re looking for somewhere with a unique atmosphere, make sure you give littlefrench a go.
