Master mixology, hearty burgers and delicious tunes : A spotlight on G41 Bar

G41’s whole premise is to be the ultimate triple threat: something they’ve effortlessly managed to pull off. Nailing the trifecta of excellent food, drinks, and entertainment, you know exactly what you’re getting when you plan a night out at G41. Having all three features of the bar narrowed down to perfection means you can spend a couple of hours working your way through the tapas and drinks menu before taking things to the dance floor, encompassing an entire night of dinner, drinks, and dancing in just one easy venue.

If there’s any bar whose extremely proud of their cocktail menu, it’s G41. Each drink has been specially selected to appear on the menu, some with a twist and others left to their original recipe because why fix it if it’s not broken, right?

Work your way through negronis, cosmopolitans, espresso martinis, French martinis, margaritas and white Russians. On those rare hotter Glasgow days, try a frozen marg, bramble, or even a pina colada if the occasion arrises. G41 also has a grand selection of spritzes – Aperol, Hugo, Limoncello, and Kir, a must-try in the summer months.

Of course on the menu, they also have a variety of wines, beers, ciders, and sodas to keep everyone happy and refreshed.

As we’ve said, G41 is a triple threat – and a huge part of that is the phenomenal menu. With a touch of the Mediterranean, the menu is full of comfort dishes, sharing bits, and a variety of flavour palates to please everyone.

Start with their legendary wings (or strips!) and choose between hot buffalo sauce and blue cheese, sticky sesame BBQ sauce, classic salt and pepper with sriracha mayo, honey and sweet chilli drizzle, or naked and crispy. Throw in a couple of mac and cheese bites, halloumi fries, Moroccan cauliflower bites, jalapeño bites, or frickles (AKA fried pickles) for the table and you’ll get to try a little bit of each of their best dishes.

As for the main event, burgers and loaded fries are on the menu! The signature G41 puts together 2 8oz beef patties with monterey jack cheese, crispy onions, fried pickles, garlic, lemon mayo, lettuce and tomato on a toasted bun. Or opt for the The Mumbai lamb burger with mint, mango, and onion bhaji, The Tijuana with Mexican cheese, tortilla chips, salsa and sour cream, or The Imperial Beijing burger with salt and pepper chicken strips, fresh chillies and spring onion. G41 also serve up an epic fish burger Tex-Mex BBQ burger, as well as two tasty plant-based burgers.

As for the loaded fries, order for the table and dig into crispy fries loaded with the likes of seasoned lamb and Jalfrezi seasoning and cheese, beef, sour cream and salsa with crispy onions.

Between open mic nights, live acoustic performances, and disco, soul, and electronic DJ sets, G41 is a centre for great music. The team are dedicated to bringing the best artists to the bar for world-class performances, from the likes of Al Kent from Million Dollar Disco at The Berkeley Suite, thee San Francisco-based IMFROMULL, and frequent returner to the bar, Yogi Haughton whose repertoire goes back to the 80s and 90s at Club Nine and Ayr Pavilion.
