The popular Belfast restaurant is making its long awaited return to the city’s Cathedral Quarter this month after closing its doors for almost 18 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
For a while, it felt like life would never get back to normal, but now restrictions are easing life is finally returning to Belfast. The latest spot to announce its return is one of the city’s most beloved restaurants, Made in Belfast, which is reopening this month.
The 4th November will see the return of the Talbot Street restaurant, which has proved a hit with locals since it first opened back in 2010. As the busiest of the three Made in Belfast restaurants – two other locations in the chain can be found beside City Hall and on Hill Street – the reopening of the Cathedral Quarter restaurant will be cause for celebration for many.
Known for its quirky, rustic interior, pops of colour, retro and vintage furnishings and marvellously mural walls, dining here is sure to be an unforgettable experience.
Emma Bricknell, the owner of Made in Belfast, said that she’s really looking forward to the reopening: “I’m excited about being open again. This venue was the busiest restaurant we had and it’s in the coolest of areas.”
The news of the reopening of the popular Talbot Street restaurant follows the announcement that Prawnagraphic, an experimental seafood restaurant opened as part of the Made in Belfast chain in summer 2021, will be closing its doors due to sewage issues in the area. The innovative prawn-focused restaurant received rave reviews upon its debut in the city but was unfortunately forced to close due to unforeseen circumstances.
However, fans of the chain can delight in the news that one of their original favourites is making its return. Made in Belfast serves up what they describe as “basic, rustic peasant food, but with influences from all over the world.”
Specialising in modern European cuisine and accommodating various dietary requirements with an impressive range of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options on their menu, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Using locally sourced, high quality ingredients to create an inventive and flavourful menu of dishes, Made in Belfast is sure to delight newcomers and old regulars alike.
Made in Belfast is now taking bookings for its Talbot Street restaurant, which will be open from 4th November, Thursdays to Sundays from 12pm to close.
