Mac & Wild Falls of Shin: drinks and ceilidh

She’ll be playing traditional Highland reels, jigs and ceilidh music while you have your dinner at Mac & Wild. Another event to tickle your fancy might be the Rock Rose gin tasting. An award-winning gin from Thurso in the North of Scotland, Rock Rose gin is a delicious premium Scottish gin. It gets its flavour from a carefully selected range of local and traditional botanicals. Hear the story of Rock Rose from their excellent brand ambassador and try their delicious gins. You’ll also get a delicious three course meal from their head chef Lucas, who will pair botanicals with excellent Scottish produce.

Phil and Simon Thompson opened one of the world’s leading whisky bars in Dornoch, but they’re now looking to go bigger and better and have started making their own whisky and gin on-site at Dornoch castle, which is Dornoch’s first whisky distillery. Exciting times. If you want to hear all about their journey, drink a couple of drams, and sample some of their gin, then sign up to this gin and whisky tasting. It’s going to be held on 17th May at 7pm, and at £40 per person it’s a steal since it includes a three course set dinner made by the team at Mac & Wild.
