Mac & Wild is a Scottish restaurant ran by two Scots, Calum and Andy. They brought meat from Andy’s family butchery, Ardgay Game, to a street market stall in London in 2012, and haven’t looked back since. The demand completely outstripped supply. It turns out people really love venison and big juicy burgers. After opening two restaurants in London, they’ve opened Mac & Wild Falls of Shin just three miles from the butchery. More than just a restaurant, Falls of Shin is a place for the community, so whether you’re just visiting or you’re a highlander born and bred, there’s plenty to get involved with. If you like a wee boogie, and a drink or three, these events at Mac & Wild's Fall of Shin location will be perfect for you...

Gin and Whisky Tasting with Dornoch Distillery

Phil and Simon Thompson opened one of the world’s leading whisky bars in Dornoch, but they’re now looking to go bigger and better and have started making their own whisky and gin on-site at Dornoch castle, which is Dornoch’s first whisky distillery. Exciting times. If you want to hear all about their journey, drink a couple of drams, and sample some of their gin, then sign up to this gin and whisky tasting. It’s going to be held on 17th May at 7pm, and at £40 per person it’s a steal since it includes a three course set dinner made by the team at Mac & Wild.
