Every month Mac & Wild co-founder, Andy Waugh, and head chef, Lucas Pope, use Scottish ingredients, straight from the Highlands. Over the seven course spectacular, expect dishes such as venison tartare, prime BBQ ribeye, langoustine ravioli, fresh scallops, and a scorched bread and butter pudding. You’ll be kept warm by the roaring fire, sheepskin rugs, while you’re relaxing in the bothy. If you want to BYOB there’s £5 corkage, or if you’d rather sit back, relax, and try something different, order from the bar. It’s £45 per person and dates available to book are 13th April, 4th May, with other dates for the rest of the year to be confirmed.
It can get pretty wild in the Highlands, there’s lots of wildlife; creepy crawlies, and big Scottish animals like the Highland cow. None more wild than Scotland’s wildest creature, the haggis. Did you know it’s banned in the USA? If you want to have a laugh and go home with your very own “Great chieftain o the puddin’-race”, sign up to the Haggis Masterclass. The next one is on 4th May, with many more to be announced. Tickets are priced at £40 per person.
