We love seafood here at Dish Cult and we know the people of Liverpool does, too. From fish suppers on a Friday to shellfish-laden pasta dishes, Liverpool’s seafood scene is top-of-the-range. So, if you’re after a top-notch seafood meal for your next dining out experience, we’ve got the guide for you – here’s our top picks for seafood in Liverpool.
This catch-all bar and grill has an excellent menu. Open from breakfast until late, here you can get superb fish and chips, pan fried seabass fillets and our favourite dish – pan fried salmon and seabass, with breaded king prawns, sautéed potatoes, chorizo and hollandaise. A long, metal-topped bar stands out at this down-to-earth local favourite, serving brilliant cocktails, and a gluten-free menu is also available, too.
Tiger Rock has two locations in Liverpool, this one in North John and another in Smithdown. Serving some of the finest Asian dishes in Liverpool, here you can taste delicacies from Japanese, Chinese, Malaysian, Thai, Vietnamese and Singaporean cuisines. There’s a good range for seafood lovers, too. We particularly like the Kra Pu Ped (crispy chilli soft shell crab) and the Tom Yam Goong (the famous Thai hot and sour king prawn soup).
Following the successful launch of sister venture, The Italian Club further down Bold Street, now comes Liverpool’s The Italian Club Fish. Here you will discover a marriage between British and Italian styles, heavily influenced by the owners’ Scottish – Italian background. As a fish cafe, many of the ingredients are subject to availability. But this ensures everything’s always fresh and bursting with flavour, every time. The basis of the cooking is extra virgin oil, freshly prepared vegetables and fish stocks that render the dishes light and healthy.
