Free State Kitchen is known for its classic American dishes with a modern twist, especially when it comes to the selection of burgers or handhelds as they are known at FSK. You can choose from the classic American cheeseburger with American cheese, fresh onion, ketchup and mustard, or go wild and try the diner’s favourite – the double French onion burger, which is packed with garlic butter, caramelised onion, Dijon mustard and Swiss cheese.

FSK also offers a range of veggie and vegan burgers, including the garden burger and the vegan market burger, which has delicious-tasting vegan cheese. You can also opt for a gluten free bun. All of the burgers come with rosemary salted fries, and you can add on an extra burger patty, fried chicken or bacon if you are feeling extra hungry.

Macello Meat House has gotten so popular it now has two venues – one in the south of Liverpool in Childwall and one in the north in West Derby Village. Macello Meat House first opened in Childwall in 2017 and it quickly became known for its delicious steaks and mouthwatering burgers. On the menu, you’ll find the mighty 400g Tower Beef Burger or our favourite, the Slow Cooked Ribs burger, cooked for over 12 hours to lock in the juices and all of the flavour!

The first TGI Fridays opened in New York in 1965 with the timeless promise, ‘In here, it’s always Friday’. Now a large franchise, there are two restaurants in Liverpool, one in Speke and one located on the top of Liverpool One. TGI Fridays serves hearty, delicious American food including HUGE burgers. Expect everything from whopping beef burgers to spicy fried chicken burgers, wings, ribs, corn dogs, you name it; if it’s stereotypically American, TGIs serves it.

Nova Scotia is perfectly located on the Royal Albert Dock and serves delicious food. We particularly love the range of six burgers. There’s a vegan and veggie option as well as the PS Scotia, which is a beef patty with cheese and onion rings, and the grilled chicken and avocado burger is amazing too. We highly recommend this location if you want a variety of burger flavours.

Bavette Steakhouse not only serves amazing steaks and grilled meats, but juicy burgers too! Using the finest, tastiest meat and the most tender chicken, Bavette serves a wide range of burgers to suit everyone’s taste! We highly recommend the Asado Burger, which is slow cooked beef ribs with BBQ sauce and caramelised onions. We also love the special Bavette Special Burger, which is 175g of pure flank steak served with crispy onions, cheese and pickles. You’ll find a veggie option with halloumi and grilled vegetables too, which is just as juicy and delicious as the meat options!
