We all know the feeling of getting to the end of an amazing day and having to travel home. But what if you didn’t have to cut the night short and instead you could carry on eating and drinking until you wanted to crawl upstairs into a comfy bed? Well, look no further because we’ve compiled a guide of the best restaurants in Liverpool that also have bedrooms!
The Jug and Bottle is a beautiful pub with nine en-suite guest bedrooms upstairs, making this an ideal location to spend the evening eating and drinking at the bar before retiring up a few stairs to your cosy bedroom. Located within walking distance of Thurstaston Beach on the Wirral, this is a dreamy location if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of Liverpool city centre. The delicious homemade menu includes a number of all-time favourite pub classics in a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Your four-legged friends are also welcome! Don’t forget to book your table as this popular pub gets very busy, especially on a sunny day!
The Fox & Hounds is a traditional country pub nestled in the conservation area of Barnston on the Wirral and is the perfect pub to relax in after a long day’s walking before crawling upstairs to one of the pub’s rooms. It stocks a cracking range of local cask ales, lagers and ciders as well as a hearty homemade menu including a classic 8oz locally sourced ribeye steak, honey roasted belly pork with caramelised shallots, and a chestnut and button mushroom stroganoff. The menu is huge, including a variety of starters, light bites, mains and desserts.

Pesto at The Dibbinsdale Inn offers authentic Italian dining in a traditional pub environment, with cask ales, cocktails and a real fire with bedrooms upstairs. With a range of original, fresh Italian piattini, it offers authentic dishes served on small plates so you can savour and share a selection of Italian flavours. The concept of the menu comes from the owner’s love of Italian food but not the traditionally large portions. Imagine the same great flavours but without the bloated feeling at the end! The menu is impressively extensive so you can have a taste of the whole of Italy under one roof!

The Pullman Restaurant is located inside Pullman Liverpool Hotel. The four-star hotel sits at King’s Dock on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront, on-site with M&S Bank Arena, ACC Liverpool and Exhibition Centre. It’s also just a five-minute walk from the vibrant Royal Albert Dock. Relax in stylish, elegant surroundings and enjoy the convenient location of the hotel’s classic restaurant. Liverpool One, the Cavern Club and many museums are all within walking distance. If you want to make a romantic weekend of it, book a room for you and yours. That way, you can crawl into the lift and straight to your room if you have one-to-many gins at the fully-stocked bar – winning!
The Ship is a traditional 19th century coastal inn on the Wirral bank of the stunning Dee estuary, providing sanctuary and refreshment to locals and visitors alike for over two centuries. Upstairs it has a number of comfortable rooms, with a handful of front rooms facing the Marshes. The menu is an interesting mix of pub classics with some seasonal dishes. You’ll find a strong influence of seafood where most of the ingredients showcase the great fish that we find off British shores.
