Fun restaurants in Manchester
We all know that Manchester is a cool as hell city. It’s hosted some of the biggest bands in the world, loves a party, and is becoming something of a food mecca. Regardless of what you’re up to, you still need to eat though. That’s why we’ve put together our list of fun restaurants in Manchester to ensure every part of your Manchester experience is amazing.
If your idea of a fun restaurant in Manchester doesn’t involve eating until you feel a bit sick, then you might want to skip this recommendation. Fazenda is a rodizio restaurant serving up delicious meats. The way it works is this; you have a card which you turn up or down, depending on whether you want more food or not. Heap your plate up with salad, sides, and even sushi and settle back to enjoy a really great night. This place thrives on a fun atmosphere, with really friendly staff and a great playlist, meaning it’s the perfect place for a get together with friends.
Black Dog is a pool room, bar, and restaurant in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, a super cool spot to hang out with your friends, where you can even bring your pooch. Not only can you head here for brunch, lunch, or dinner, you can also grab a game of pool while you’re at it. Their food menu features classic diner-esque dishes like burgers and sandwiches, and you can even grab a full platter of loaded fries to nibble at as you pick off your opponents one by one. You shark you!
Fair warning: going against everything your mother ever taught you, this restaurant not only cooks your food but throws it at you too. Don’t worry, it’s not one of the “rude restaurants” you see on Buzzfeed, these guys are truly putting on a show with their cooking. Book in for the Teppanyaki table to get the full experience and watch as the chefs cook your food, coax impressive fires, and generally entertain the life out of you. It’s one of the most fun restaurants in Manchester and is a great one for a family day out as the kids will be delighted with the display.
If anyone knows about having a great time it’s the Spanish, which is why we’ve brought you to La Bandera in Manchester’s city centre. With it’s bright colours, cosy booths, and great food, it’s one of our favourite places to hang out in the city. They serve up a full a la carte menu, filled with your favourite Spanish dishes, and also a tasting menu. They pair it with a wine flight, matching your wines to their tasty dishes like twice-cooked Galician octopus and squid ink croquettes. If you’re looking for great food and a fun night, this is the place to head.
German beer, German food, and an incredible backdrop: if you’re looking to visit a fun restaurant in Manchester, then this is the place for you. Situated around a hugely impressive bar, this place is a bar, restaurant, and music venue, all with a German twist. Head to their Alpine Cookhaus for traditional dishes like goulash or schnitzel, and then enjoy one of their nightly shows. Tuesdays feature “Kunst Kaberet” with live performances from the cabaret underworld, or head down on a Sunday for a roast and live gospel music. Whatever night you go on, you’re sure to have a wunderbar time.
