We all know that Bali is an absolute paradise, where you can leave the daily grind behind and relax. But whether you’re a beach babe, a sun saluter, or a cocktail queen, everyone loves a good dinner. So we’ve put together a list of the best fine dining in Bali spots to make your perfect days into even better nights!
This rustic-style restaurant is allllll about the produce and sustainability, with over 95% of their ingredients coming from Indonesia, and all kitchen waste put back into their kitchen garden. And the chefs all have serious foodie credentials, having worked in some of the best restaurants across the world. Try out their Locavore, or Herbivore menu depending on your preferences and taste treats like goat tartare and caffeinated fish, all served with Locavore’s recommended drinks.
The first thing we have to say about Metis is how absolutely gorgeous it is. Entering this venue is like stepping into a tropical paradise that just happens to have some incongruous tables dotted around. Thankfully, it’s definitely not all style and no substance as the food here is as incredible as the surroundings. Eat dishes like pan seared black Angus grain fed Australian beef tenderloin, or 14 hours crispy skin pork belly, or go all out and try the fois gras menu. Quite literally what it says it is, this menu gives you a tasty choice of fois gras dishes to choose from. If you’re looking for fine dining in Bali, this has got to be right up there.
With one of the best sunset views in Bali, Ku De Ta is the perfect place to enjoy gorgeous scenery and gorgeous food. Although it is famous as a beach bar, don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s not one of the best places for fine dining in Bali. Their full al acarte menu features refined dishes like herb crusted barramundi fillet, and they have an incredible cocktail menu (perfect for making your Insta followers supremely jealous). Stick around after you’ve eaten and take in the party atmosphere at one of their renowned Sunset Sessions.
The epitome of fine dining in Bali, Blanco Par Mandif is a beautifully refined restaurant, serving up some of the best food in Bali. With white walls, tables, and chairs, it’s a clean airy space, perfect for showing off their stunning plates of food. In fact the food itself is part edible, part art. Their clever use of herbs and sauces make each dish visually stunning. Choose from a seven or nine course tasting menu featuring dishes like octopus with red bean emulsion, parsley cream, and confit potato, and lamb rack with mushroom and eggplant emulsion. You’ll need to be on the Ball-i to get a table though, these guys are hugely popular.
This beach front venue mixes the best parts of Metis and Ku De Ta, with a beachfront view, and stunning tropical paradise incorporated into the decor. Another great spot to watch the sun go down, Chez Gado Gado describes itself as bold, classic, and playful, a philosophy that they bring to all their dishes. We’re huge fans of their tapas by the sea menu featuring classic tapas dishes like calamari with new takes like seafood ceviche with chilli and coriander. It’s no wonder this is one of the favourite fine dining venues in Bali.
